Book Club: A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare with James Callàs Ball

This month's Book Club was on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. James Callàs Ball, one of our amazing Junior Associates, discussed the play and in particular, focused on two productions: the 2017 Young Vic production directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins and the 2019 Bridge Theatre production directed by Nicholas Hytner, examining the very different use of design in each production and therefore, the differing explorations of theme and character.
